Dig the Chaos Baby!

You could also say I shot myself in the foot but the idea is the same. Thinking over things I said last semester and what's happening now. I said I wouldn't be doing going to college when I'm 30, hear I am enrolled for the fall. I found last spring I have a bunch of credits left so, I have to take classes to fulfill the credits. I made fun of my friend for being a Communications Major. Since Communications are regarded as the 'nothing major.' Here I am, getting a Communications Minor because, I want to get a double minor out of my credit situation. I also said I would never do Public Relations. There is that PR vs Journalists battle, I want to write the news not spin. Here I am helping out the Veterans Club to spread the word about the cub and tell people about events. I realized that's PR! Funny thing is I like promoting the club and I'm not really betraying any journalistic principles.

Yes, this has been a round about Alanis Morissette video with thick irony but it's nothing that is making me groan in regret. I'm building my resume by promoting the club. I'm adding a second minor to my academic career. Plus, I'm having a blast getting to still be around the friends I've known since I've been here. I can only hope this good wave keeps going until December. (Knock on wood!)

I am grateful for this semester ,it seems like a second chance to correct anything I have left undone. I want to make sure I have a portfolio and internships under my belt. I want to keep the connections with the cool people I know here at NIU. It's good to see positive things happen in someones life. (Knock on wood again!)
